Privacy Policy

mdBrowse is a web browser. We built it to collect as little about you as possible. There is no account and no sign-in.

What we do not collect

• No name, email, phone number or account.
• No browsing history on our servers — your history stays on your phone and is kept for 90 days.
• No advertising ID or device identifier tied to you.

What the app sends to us

Our servers only receive what is needed to show the home page and to count ads for advertisers:

• Configuration and content: the app asks our server for the home layout, suggested sites, Top Stories headlines and the Movies & TV list. These requests carry your market (country) and app version, not who you are.
• Ad statistics: counts of how often an ad or suggested term was shown or tapped, by day. These carry no device identifier. On the Google Play version, each upload also carries a Google Play Integrity token: Google checks that the app is genuine and the device has not been tampered with, so ad counts cannot be faked. The token holds only Google's verdict, not who you are; Google's privacy policy applies to that check.
• AI report: only if you tap “Report” on an AI answer — then that one question and answer and the reason are sent, never your API key.

AI mode

AI mode uses your own API key from an AI provider you choose. Your key is encrypted and stored only on your phone (Android Keystore); it is never sent to us and never appears in logs or backups.

Your questions and the AI’s answers go directly from your phone to the provider you chose. They do not pass through our servers. The provider’s own privacy policy applies to them.

Downloads and websites

Downloads use Android’s own download manager and are saved to your Downloads folder. The websites you visit load directly from those sites; their own privacy policies apply.

Search suggestions

If search suggestions are on, what you type in the address bar is sent to your chosen search engine to fetch suggestions. You can turn this off in Settings.

Permissions

• Internet and network state: to load pages.
• Storage (Android 9 and older only): to save downloads, asked at the first download.
• No location, contacts, camera or microphone.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your region

We only collect the minimal data above, consistent with Thailand’s PDPA, Vietnam’s Decree 13/2023, and the personal-data laws of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
